Deltares is an independent research institute for applied research in the field of water and subsurface. From the perspective of water, the subsurface and infrastructure, we work on four mission areas: future deltas, sustainable deltas, safe deltas and resilient infrastructure.

In the NINFA program Deltares, leader of WP4, will focus on developing a risk assessment tool for the effects of global and climate changes on groundwater quality by applying an AI model for groundwater quality.

It is our objective to make a step beyond large scale risk and sustainability assessments, especially considering the links between climate change and groundwater quality, and the potential of accelerated risk assessments using AI.
