The Ninfa project conducted its 13M meeting on 9 and 10 November 2023 in Leeuwarden, NL. Our host, Wetsus, European Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Water Technology, organized a great meeting at its spacious environmentally friendly offices.

It was a two-day meeting. The first day Roel Meulepas presented an overview of Wetsus, followed by presentations from Tom Sleutels and research scientists on their innovative water treatment technology projects. Our partner Sapienza Università di Roma provided insightson the steady state modelling of Case study 1 in the Achterhoek region, NL.
Attendees were  treated to an insightful tour of their state-of-the-art labs. The research underway is genuinely fascinating, brimming with innovative ideas that hold immense potential.

The second day, all partners presented their progress and challenges encountered in developing innovative treatment solutions.

Discussions revolved around the Ninfa model and its necessary Inputs.

The partners welcomed an External Advisor Board member from Vitens, which provided valuable feedback to enhance our efficiency in achieving Ninfa’s objectives.

Ninfa serves as a notable illustration of how European partnerships can collaborate to address the European Union’s Green Deal objectives and the Sustainable Development Goals set by United Nations, particularly the SDG 6 “Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all”.
