Two NINFA abstracts have been accepted for the 51st International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH) Congress, taking place in Davos, Switzerland, 8 – 13 September 2024. Prepared by Sathish Sadhasivam and Valeria Lorenzi with project partners, the papers showcase model-based tools and hydrological assessments that advance NINFA’s work on sustainable groundwater management.

• “Model-Based Approaches for Preserving Coastal Lagoon Ecosystems: A Case Study in Southeastern Spain.”

• “Hydrological Modelling and Environmental Assessment of Agricultural Water-Resource Dynamics in the Baakse Beek Basin, Netherlands.”

  The paper analyses water-balance scenarios and nutrient-flow pathways to inform eco-friendly agricultural practices and mitigate diffuse groundwater pollution.
