The workshop brought together local authorities, water management professionals, researchers, project partners, and representatives from leading European initiatives to explore the challenges and opportunities associated with sustainable groundwater management.
A Meeting Point for Knowledge and Innovation
Groundwater is one of Europe’s most valuable natural resources, playing a crucial role in water supply, agriculture, ecosystems, and climate resilience. As pressures from pollution, overexploitation, and climate change continue to grow, innovative and collaborative solutions are becoming increasingly important.
During the workshop, participants exchanged knowledge and experiences on groundwater monitoring, pollution prevention, data-driven decision-making, and emerging technologies that can support more sustainable water management practices.
